Many of the priciest machines simply aren't available at your local dealership for a plainly determined MSRP. And then there's the completely custom motorcycles you could have built for yourself by store shops like NCR and a few other high-end contractors, which don't truly be eligible for production-bike status.While not a shop shop, OEMs like Aprilia and BMW are also getting in on the high-end sportbike game. BMW, for example, teased us with the all carbon fiber content HP4 Contest at EICMA 2016. It's still in the prototype phase, however, and prices hasn't been established.Meanwhile, Aprilia has gone and introduced the Stock Works program to buy racebikes based on the RSV4 direct from the manufacturing plant that comply with rules for various national and international racing organizations worldwide. Deals start with the essential Superstock build at EUR24,600 (roughly $26,000 USD at current exchange rates) all the way to EUR160,000 (practically $170,000) for the RSV4 FW-GP, which boasts more than 250 hp at the crank, pneumatic valves, dried clutch, and an extremely sophisticated gadgets and data acquisition bundle. Even though the RSV4 is a creation bike, the bicycles and components used for the Manufacturer Works program are designed strictly for rushing. Road-legal componentry, along with registration paperwork, aren't included or even offered.To prevent this list from being filled up with models from simply a handful of manufacturers, we've decided to limit it to just the most expensive model from the various OEMs displayed here.
